Virtual Teams / Actual Work - Webinar Workshop
Wednesday, Nov. 11, 6-7 p.m. (CST)
The ability to work collaboratively and effectively within diverse virtual teams is a necessary skill in today's global workforce. According to the Nemertes Research Group the U.S. alone saw an 800% increase in virtual workers from 2007-2012 and in 2012 the Society for Human Resources Management released survey results that showed nearly 46% of organizations use virtual teams. In fact, those with multinational operations were twice as likely to use virtual teams as those having only U.S. based operations. Online students at Webster will often have the opportunity to build these skills through group projects in their courses. In this workshop we will identify the top five barriers to the success of virtual teams and discuss strategies for overcoming these barriers. Attendees are encouraged to RSVP here.
