Undergraduate Graduate Petitions Available Online

The Office of Academic Affairs announces that the undergraduate petition to graduate is now available online. The new system streamlines the petition process and reduces the need to print and handle paper.

The Undergraduate Petition Task Force worked on the project to help meet a variety of goals, the most important of which is to make the process seamless for all our undergraduate students.

“This new system allows us more touch points and better operational excellence into the future,” said Beth Russell, assistant provost for Graduate Studies.

The online petition should take less than 10 minutes to complete, as long as the student utilizes their degree audit as part of the process. Already submitted paper petitions will be honored and do not need to be duplicated in this new system.

The Undergraduate Petition Task Force credits many units and departments who assisted in implementing the system, including: the Registrar’s Office, Academic Advising, Online Learning Center, IT, the Colleges and Schools, Global Marketing & Communications, and the Office of Academic Affairs.
