What happens after you’ve received the letter that a student in your class has a disability and needs accommodations?
Learn the right next steps to take when the Academic Resource Center partners with Paraquad to present After the Letter – Best Practices for Making Accommodations in the Classroom on Oct. 26. The session will provide a discussion-centered training on interacting with people with both visible and invisible disabilities, people-first language, and avoiding assumptions.
The training will include some best practices for making students in your class feel comfortable asking for accommodations. The session is meant to be an interactive discussion, so please bring your questions.
