Choral Program Music Now Heard on YouTube
Oct. 14, 2016

The Webster University choral program has launched a YouTube channel featuring performances from the concert archive. The 25 recordings represent 500
years of choral repertoire.
“We know that prospective students want to hear us before they apply to Webster,”
said Trent Patterson, director of Choral Studies. “This channel gives prospects a
glimpse of what we are doing so successfully, and it brings to the Web the voices
of literally hundreds of students who have sung on concerts in the past five years.
The channel helps us market, recruit, and engage in advocacy in sustainable, relevant
ways."
"Undergraduate music education majors Heather Hamilton and Hunter Johnson learned
some real-world skills as they performed much of the planning and editing on this
project. For them, this new channel was a superb experiential learning opportunity,
too.”
