Webster University Ghana Re-accreditation
Aug. 10, 2016
Webster University Ghana, located in the nation’s capital of Accra, has recently been re-accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana. This re-accreditation, which is for an additional five years, was awarded from September 2016 and is considered a significant achievement for the university.
"We are excited to have been approved to operate in Ghana for another five years," said Christa Sanders, director of Webster Ghana. "Having the support of major stakeholders and the Ghanaian government is significant. As the only American university in the country offering graduate and undergraduate programs, being re-accredited is an important milestone of which we are all extremely proud.”
Currently, Webster University Ghana offers three undergraduate programs; BA in Media Communications; BA in International Relations; BA in Management, and will be adding the BS in Computer Science in Fall 2016. At the graduate level, there are two programs, the MA in International Relations and MBA. It is anticipated that graduate portfolio will expand by opening a third program within the next year.
Accra is Webster's only campus location in Africa, which made Webster the first American university in the sub-region to offer both bachelor and master’s degree level programs.
