Faculty Networking Event: Global Teaching Opportunities
Apr. 21, 2017
Local faculty are invited to attend a Faculty Networking and Global Opportunities event to be held at the Faculty Development Center on Wednesday, April 26, 4-5:30 p.m.
The event will combine very short overviews on study abroad, faculty mobility and the WINS program along with a global networking and graffiti wall. The main topic will be presenting the various global opportunities available to faculty, the importance of international experiences for students and the six main reasons why faculty should teach abroad.
A highlight of the event will be a short but meaningful talk by Larry Baden, who led a group of students to Ghana during spring break 2017. He will share his experience teaching the students, how it impacted him as a faculty member, the impact the course had on the students, and the rewarding and unique opportunity afforded by teaching in West Africa.
The event starts promptly at 4 p.m. with short presentations and will be followed by fun networking among colleagues sharing internationally inspired hors d'oeuvres and wines.
Please RSVP no later than Monday, April 24: email@example.com.
