Library Cybercafe 24 Hour Chat Available During Winter Break

The Library Cybercafe will be available 24 hours a day during Winter Break. This space is accessible from the second floor entrance, and contains computers and a printer. When the library is closed, the café is only accessible with a valid student, faculty or staff ID card. While the café area will by open, Kaldi’s will remain closed until Friday, Jan. 19.

Beginning to Commence: Class Learns about Community of Webster Groves

Students on Webster University’s main campus might take Elm Avenue through Webster Groves when commuting into class. Or maybe they find a home to rent in North Webster. But other than restaurants and parks, students don’t naturally get much of a chance to really learn about the community that is home to their school. This fall a group of first-year students is took a deeper look at Webster Groves to learn more about the community, its history and the people who have shaped it.

NCR Organizational Development Class Explores the New District Wharf

Professor Linda Brown’s CHNG 5000 class experienced organizational development in action. Organization development, by definition, is the area of study where students and professionals learn to hone in on their skills, marketability, organizational tactics, and effectiveness in project management. With her students in the right course at the right time, Brown's class got to learn firsthand about the 10-year Wharf project, from its official inception in 2007 to its opening weekend celebrations in Fall 2017.

First Year Seminars: Call for proposals

The First Year Seminar (FRSH 1200) is the first course in the Global Citizenship Program of undergraduate general education. We are seeking proposals for seminars for incoming, first-time, traditional age students for Fall 2018. It provides students an interdisciplinary academic experience in a community of learners who are all new to college. Additionally, congratulations to Bill Lynch, who is succeeding Carol Williams as director of First Year Seminars.
