Join fellow young musicians from the St. Louis region to explore orchestral literature, make new friends and grow through additional performance opportunities.

The Community Music School (CMS) of Webster University is now accepting applications for auditions for their orchestras and ensembles including String Ensemble, String Orchestra, Young People's Concert Orchestra, Young People's Symphonic Orchestra, the Preparatory Program (chamber music), and Percussion Ensemble.

Band and string students ages 7 years through high school are encouraged to apply and audition.

Deadlines begin as early as May 11. Applications and deadlines can be found online here, or by calling (314) 968-5939.

Orchestras and ensembles rehearse weekly at the Community Music School's headquarters at 535 Garden Avenue in Webster Groves and participate in at least two full concerts (one each semester) during the academic year. The CMS Orchestra/Ensemble program is structured to enhance student's skills beyond individual performance and to support the education process in school music programs.

The High School Jazz Ensemble offered through the Webster University Department of Music in collaboration with the Community Music School is also accepting audition applications. For more information click here or call (314) 246-7032.
