School of Ed Conference: 'Equity in Education: Creating Voice and Choice for Social Justice
The annual conference is designed for current and future school professionals and interested community members.

The Webster University School of Education hosts its annual conference on April 14 in the East Academic Building.

This year's theme is "Equity in Education: Actions for Social Justice in Education." The keynote, "What Teachers and Learners can do to Dismantle Racism," will be delivered by Billie Mayo, Webster alumna, accomplished middle school teacher, and administrator. 

Mayo is the recipient of many awards for human rights and social justice, including the 1996 Sammy Davis Jr. "Yes I Can" award and the 2007 University of Missouri - Saint Louis Dean's award for contributions to social justice. 

The conference is intended for current and future school professionals and interested community members. 

Admission is $25 for the conference and lunch for the general public, and free for current Webster students. Please come prepared for a day of enrichment and collaboration.
