ARC Winter Break Hours

As we near the end of the Fall 2019 semester, the Academic Resource Center(ARC) encourages Webster employees and students to make use of the free academic resources available to them through the Academic Resource Center both on-ground and online.

On-ground resources are available during Winter Break, except between Monday, Dec. 23, and Wednesday, Jan. 1. Specific Testing Center, Tutoring Program, and Writing Center hours and scheduling details follow for the weeks before and after these dates. 

Testing Center

  • The Testing Center will be open Dec. 16-19 from 9 a.m.- 7 p.m. and Friday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Students wanting to schedule finals should do so as soon as possible to allow for a greater chance of availability.
  • The Testing Center will reopen on Monday, Jan. 6. The Testing Center will only be open until 7 p.m. Monday and Wednesday of that week, closing at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, but will return to a Monday-Thursday 7 p.m. closure the week of Jan. 13.

Tutoring Program

  • All regular Peer Tutoring hours will be observed through Friday, Dec. 13. Individual peer tutors will be available the week of Dec. 16 with limited appointment availability.
  • NetTutor, accessible through each WorldClassRoom (Canvas) course shell, will be available through Friday, Dec. 20, and then again following Winter Break.
  • The Spring 2020 Peer Tutoring schedule will be posted online soon.

Writing Center

  • Fall 2019 Writing Center schedule will continue through Friday, Dec. 20. Weekend hours will not be held between Saturday, Dec. 21, and Sunday, Jan. 19, but will resume Saturday, Jan. 25.
  • The Spring 2020 Writing Center schedule will be posted onlinesoon.
  • Writing assistance is also available through the Online Writing Center, accessible through the Help menu and selecting Writing Assistance in WorldClassRoom (Canvas) and through NetTutor, accessible through each WorldClassRoom course shell.
