The Academic Resource Center’s Testing Center reopens Monday, Aug. 31, with appropriate safety and social distancing protocols in place.

The Academic Resource Center’s Testing Center (located on the Webster Groves, Missouri, campus at Loretto Hall room 40) reopens Monday, Aug. 31, with appropriate safety and social distancing protocols in place.

Students wanting to schedule testing appointments, for course assessments, language placements, business waivers, CLEP or DANTES exams, should call 314-246-8225 or email arc@webster.edu. Faculty and staff can also connect with the Testing Center in this way.

Students will be given key-card access to the Testing Center-side door of the renovated Academic Resource Center (ARC) 10 minutes prior to their scheduled appointments and must follow safety protocols, including wearing their face coverings properly at all times, following social distancing, cleaning their workstations after use, and being prepared to show their daily health screening clearance.

Testing Center Hours for Fall 2020

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Wednesdays and Thursdays: Noon to 7 p.m.

Renovations are coming along quite well for the new Academic Resource Center.

Other ARC Services

In order to maintain appropriate social distancing and density guidelines, other Academic Resource Center services will largely remain remote. Tutoring and writing appointments will continue to be available remotely through peer tutors and writing coaches, NetTutor, and the Online Writing Center.

  • Peer tutors: Virtual peer tutoring appointments may be made through the “regular” process for peer tutoring – go to webster.edu/academic-resource-center and select “Schedule a Tutoring Appointment” for the appropriate service under Requests. You may access a video to review these steps at https://youtu.be/cHIZ4RVuSwA. Students will meet face-to-face with peer tutors through Zoom web conferencing software.
  • Writing coaches: Virtual peer Writing Center appointments may be made through the “regular” process for Writing Center assistance – go to webster.edu/academic-resource-center and select “Schedule a Writing Appointment” for the appropriate service under Requests.
