Information on The Virtual Involvement Fair

Do I we have to participate in both sessions of the Virtual Fair?

  • No. Departments are encouraged to participate on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. You are welcome to participate live during both sessions, but we realize that's not possible for most departments.

Can my department have more than one page?

  • Yes, but each page will need to be setup as a different organization. Complete the account setup form for any additional groups that will be managed by your department. The live Zoom links will need to be unique as well unless you want to direct everyone into the same virtual space.

How will we connect with students during the fair?

  • Guests to the fair will login to Involved@Webster during the times of the event. There will be a banner advertising the virtual fair. When opened, they will see all organizations registered for the fair and can choose to "request to join" the group or to "meet online". When "meet online" is selected students will be directed to the Zoom, Webex, Discord, or other virtual meeting space provided during registration.

What if we can't be there "live"?

  • You can register for the fair and leave the online link blank during the registration process. Students will instead see a "contact this organization" email to send a message of interest.

How can I get the most out of this?

  • Be sure to visit your organization page and make sure that EVERYTHING is updated: logo, roster, description. Use the new video embedding feature to leave a welcome video on your page for all visitors.
