School of Education Host "Teaching in a Time of Crisis: The New Normal" Virtual July 7

The School of Education will host a virtual event, "Teaching in a Time of Crisis: The New Normal" on July 7. This event will give registrants the opportunity to explore effective remote teaching practices and strategies as they adjust to the new reality of Covid 19 and social distancing.

The planning committee of this event, Department of Teacher Education faculty and staff, Tracey Brenner, Stephanie Mahfood, Basiyr Rodney and Rena Rockwell, are pleased to announce that the event is sold out with 120 registrants.

This "unconference" is designed to help teachers prepare for this ongoing reality of remote teaching by exploring student supports, lesson selection, teaching tools, assessment practices and feedback approaches. Session facilitators include several School of Education faculty members as well as current teacher certification students and School of Education alumni.
