Vienna Kicks Off Alumni Mentoring Program
Eleven alumni-student tandems are part of this year's Alumni Mentoring Program, supported by ACCELOR, the renowned Viennese exec coaching and training firm.

The Vienna chapter of the Webster Alumni Association and the Career Development Center at Webster Vienna kicked off the local event for Webster's worldwide Mentoring Program, bringing together local mentors and mentees at Palais Wenkheim in Vienna.

The program is strongly supported by corporate partner ACCELOR Consulting & Business Development, a renowned Viennese executive coaching and training company.

The highlight of the evening was the revealing of the 11 assigned tandems for this year’s program. Alumni met their mentees for the first time and had the chance to get to know them better during an informal networking dinner. In addition, four mentors with mentees in Thailand were invited in order to give them a safe haven, local support and networking possibilities.

After a short introduction and general information regarding the mentoring program for all local mentors and mentees by Alexandra Deubner, senior career development officer at the Vienna campus, Nathalie Karré, managing partner of ACCELOR, gave an inspiring keynote speech on "How to use the intelligence of organizations and other networks."

Webster alumnus Stefano Cantini, president of the Vienna chapter of the Webster Alumni Association, also welcomed mentors and mentees, thanked them for their strong support and emphasized the great opportunities mentoring will offer them.

Webster Mentoring Program Worldwide

Available to Webster students and alumni all over the world and run from the Alumni Office in St. Louis, the Webster Mentoring Program provides an opportunity for students and alumni to connect in a positive one-on-one mentoring relationship worldwide. For 2015-16 the program matched 81 students with alumni mentors this year in St. Louis, Vienna, Ghana, China, Thailand, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, and many others.

During the next six months in Vienna, mentors will act as sparring partners and share their wealth of personal and professional experience with their mentees. Our students at the Vienna campus were matched with alumni in or around Austria, Sweden and the U.S., who either run their own business or work for a variety of organizations, representing for example Erste Group Bank AG, Telekom Austria Group, Sanofi, Julius Baer Investment Advisory GesmbH, or IAEA.

Webster Vienna thanked sponsor ACCELOR for its great support of the kickoff event, and wishes the mentors and mentees all the best for their upcoming work and time together!
