Merit Student-Recognition Platform Training Sessions March 19, March 27

Webster students do great things every day. To recognize their accomplishments and connect their stories of success to our institution’s key stakeholders, the University has implemented the Merit Pages system to showcase the success of our students. A live tutorial is the best way to illustrate how Merit could be implemented. Patrick Giblin, director of Public Relations, will demonstrate the Merit system on March 19 and March 27 for faculty and staff, and provide information on how to get started.

Special Diversity and Inclusion Shirt to be Handed Out at Weekend Basketball Game

The Webster University women’s and men’s basketball teams will be celebrating Black History Month by throwing out special t-shirts during the home doubleheader with Greenville University at Grant Gymnasium on Saturday, Feb. 16. The women’s game will tip-off at 1 p.m., with the men’s game to follow at 3 p.m.

Webster Athletics Recognized for Community Service Efforts

The Webster University Athletics Department received the highest level of national recognition for its community service from the National Association of Division III Athletic Administrators (NADIIIAA) on Monday afternoon as Webster was named the winner in the "One-Time Activity/Project" category as part of the annual NADIIIAA Community Service Awards.

Webster Volleyball Wins NCAA Division III Team Statistics National Titles, Farrah Named Statistical Champion

Webster University concluded the 2018 volleyball season as the NCAA Division III team statistical national champion in both digs per set and team attacks per set. In addition to this team accolade, sophomore libero Kristen Farrah claimed an NCAA Division III national statistical champion in digs per set during the 2018 volleyball season.

Webster Students Win Local Chevy Marketing Challenge, Help the Homeless

Students in Terry Sullivan’s ADVT 3150 Content Marketing class, with the help of video production students, were the winning team in the Chevrolet Local Marketing Associations College Marketing Program earlier this month. The students developed a hyper-local marketing plan for local Chevy dealers: a "Sock Hop" event and contest that filled the trunk and back seat of a Chevy Spark with over 700 pairs of socks. The socks were then donated to the local non-profit Places for People.

Schmidt Earns United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America Team Honors

Webster University men's soccer junior defender Justin Schmidt (St. Louis, Mo./Metro) was named a Third-Team selection to the 2018 NCAA Division III United Soccer Coaches (USC) Scholar All-America Team that was announced earlier this week by the organization. With his selection, Schmidt becomes just the second Webster soccer player to earn Scholar All-American honors from the United Soccer Coaches.

Women's Soccer Earns 19th Consecutive United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

The 2017 Webster University Women’s soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year. The Women's soccer team has received the Team Academic Award every year of the program's existence which first began play in 1999. The squad posted a cumulative 3.41 grade point average (GPA) for the 2017-18 season.

Softball Earns 6th Consecutive NFCA Team Academic Award; 6 Players Individually Recognized

The Webster University’s 2018 softball team was recognized by the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and received the 2017-18 Easton NCAA Division III All-Academic Team Award. This is the sixth consecutive season the team has received the Easton/NFCA Academic Award. Six players from the 2018 roster were also recognized as NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes.
