The Webster University community mourns the passing of George Herbert Walker III, a St. Louis businessman who counted two U.S. presidents as cousins, served as the United States’ ambassador to Hungary, and for whom Webster's School of Business and Technology is named. Among his many contributions to the University, Walker served 42 years on the Board of Trustees, twice as chair. "Bert Walker was an icon of this community, and we are grateful for all that he did for Webster University across his lifetime and career," said Rob Reeg, chair of the Board of Trustees.
