Snapshots: Inclement weather stretches Thanksgiving Gorlok Gathering into two-day event

The week prior to the U.S. Thanksgiving, students, faculty and staff at the Webster University home campus in Webster Groves gathered Nov. 16 for a “Gorlok Gathering” buffet of all the traditional Thanksgiving favorites. This year's luncheon was generously funded by members of the University's Board of Trustees.

Changes in Campus Dining Services

The Simply-to-Go unit in Sverdrup will not reopen this fall, due to declining customer traffic. Students, faculty, and staff in Sverdrup will have access to increased options nearby. The Library Café featuring Kaldi’s will now be open extended hours, from 8:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Fridays. Simply-to-Go food items will now be available at the Crossroads food court in the University Center.

No Power? No Problem! Campus Dining Feeds Students in Outage

Campus dining staff made extra efforts to ensure student residents had meals despite a recent weekend power outage affecting Webster University’s home campus in Webster Groves. About 100 students were fed out on the patio on Sunday. "We really appreciate the extra effort from our campus dining staff to come in and make sure that our student residents had something to eat,” said Ted Hoef, associate vice president for Student Affairs and dean of Students.
