2016 Rosita Awards Add Extra Flair to Annual Event

The Department of International Languages and Cultures hosted the 16th annual Rosita Award Ceremony on April 29, welcoming about 75 attendees for the catered dinner, student performances, games and awards. The Rosita Award recognizes students who embrace the spirit of multilingualism by continuing the study of language beyond the beginning level.

Crossing Borders Education Conference: Linking intercultural learning, diversity training and key skills

Join Arnd Wachter, founder and director of Crossing Borders Education (CBE), and Webster University faculty facilitators for a one-day program to support and ensure effective use of CBE intercultural resources. The CBE curriculum package is designed to link intercultural learning and diversity training through intentional activities to support a deeper level of transformative learning, enable the development of key skills such as empathy, curiosity, critical thinking, and global awareness, and stimulate interest in studying abroad.

Global Game Day April 6

An interactive Global Game Day event will bring international Students and American students together in Sunnen Lounge on April 6, between 3-5 p.m. Global Game Day is collaboration between the Society of International Languages and Cultures, English as a Second Language, the Japanese Student Association, the Center for International Education, and the International Student Association. Meet new people, laugh about language differences, find things in common, and have fun with the planned activities. Students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend.

Applications for 2016-17 Provost's Faculty Fellows Program

Full-time Webster University faculty are invited to submit proposals for the 2016-17 Provost’s Faculty Fellows Program. This is an opportunity for faculty members to contribute to the leadership of Webster’s key strategic efforts on a part-time basis. Fellows are awarded a stipend for their work. The extended deadline for submission is Jan. 25, 2016.
