WSA Professional Development Day Feedback Survey, Recorded Sessions

The Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) would like to thank everyone who participated in Professional Development Day 2017. WSA’s goal was to show how each person, department, and campus location is an essential piece of the puzzle that is Webster University. In total, about 150 staff members participated in the event either in person or via WebEx. Please share your feedback and suggestions through the WSA PDD Feedback Survey, and if you missed any sessions, three are available for replay via WebEx.

Justin Bitner

Bitner Named Director of OIE

March 27, 2017

The Office of Academic Affairs is pleased to announce that Justin Bitner has been appointed director of Webster University’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE), effective immediately. Bitner has been serving as Interim director of the OIE since last July. He has been with Webster for six years and earned his B.A. in English from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Loyola University in Chicago.

Summer/Fall 2017 Software Deadline April 17

The lab and multimedia classroom software request deadline for Summer/Fall 2017 is Monday, April 17. The University’s IT organization will assess all new software requests based on a number of factors in coordination with the programs of each school. These factors include: the product life cycle, the vendor’s support structure for the software, compatibility with Webster’s PC/Mac platforms, and the product’s global roadmap, among other considerations.

GLA Spring Week Wraps with Focus on Leadership, Student Experience

The 2017 cohort of Global Leadership Academy fellows is spending the year working around the theme of "Informed advocacy for engaged leadership." This theme is framed in five sessions delving deeper into the lifecycle of the student from recruitment through the alumni experience. The group's spring week together in St. Louis wrapped up with Webster experts explaining how different points in this cycle are handled.

Make wellness fun and holistic by participating in events such as yoga, interactive games, financial seminars, etc. during our weekly Wellness Wednesday events.
