Faculty Research Grant: Kaiser observes EnglishWorks project in Brazil

Associate professor DJ Kaiser recently completed his Faculty Research Grant activities in Brazil, spending more than three weeks in Rio de Janeiro observing classes in a project called EnglishWorks, managed by Sequoia Foundation, which partners with various public entities in the city of Rio to provide free English language classes in areas of critical need.

Faculty Research Grant: Kaiser in Uruguay

DJ Kaiser is currently in South America on a Faculty Research Grant conducting preliminary research for a U.S. Fulbright Scholars Grant. During this trip, Kaiser has been focusing on getting a clearer picture of Ceibal en Inglés, a program used to deliver English language classes to fourth through sixth grade elementary school classrooms, and English language teacher and teacher preparation in Uruguay.
