Electrical Customer Substation: Building shutdowns for changeover

On Dec. 19-20, the substation contractor will disconnect the University Center and Visual Arts Studio from Ameren Missouri’s electrical substation; the Emerson Library and the Sverdrup Building from the Facilities Building and connecting them directly to Webster University’s new electrical substation Dec. 19-20. These buildings will be without electrical power during the above mentioned dates and times and will not be accessible.

Planned Power Outage for Arts Studio

The Visual Arts Studio will be inaccessible on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. due to a planned power outage connected with Webster's Electrical Customer Substation project. The contractor will be replacing outdated main electrical panels in the building. In advance, those affected should turn off computers and any other electronic equipment, remove food from refrigerators and take other precautions (e.g. small office refrigerators will defrost).

Electrical Changeover Labor Day Weekend

The substation contractor will disconnect the Facilities Building from Ameren Missouri’s electrical substation and later connect to Webster University’s new electrical substation Sept. 6-7. The following buildings are affected by this changeover and will not be accessible: Webster Hall, Facilities Building, Sverdrup Building, Emerson Library, Loretto-Hilton Center and Community Music School.

Changeover to Electrical Substation Aug. 29

On Saturday, Aug. 29, the East Academic Building, H. Sam Priest House and Thompson Music Building will connect to Webster University’s new electrical substation. These buildings will not be accessible to faculty, staff, or students during this time as there will be no electrical power to these buildings.
