President Stroble and Provost Schuster were featured in Ghana Nation for their joint lecture, "The importance of Global Education in the 21st Century," delivered at the Ghana campus. Their visit was also the lead story in the American Chamber of Commerce Ghana. ... Julie Smith's lecture "What is Fake News" was featured by Gatehouse Media. ... The Webster University Film Series was noted among "Best Things to Do" by the Riverfront Times.

Webster Presents, 'Freedom: The American Hustle' a Multi-Media Exhibit

Webster University presents "Freedom: The American Hustle," a multi-media exhibit by St. Louis artists John K. Blair and Vaughn Davis Jr., at the Arcade Contemporary Art Projects at the Gateway campus. The opening reception is 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. The exhibit takes its title and much of its inspiration from seminal films from the 1970’s Blaxploitation genre, some of which will screen at the Webster Groves campus the weekend of Sept. 8-9. A panel discussion with the artists and Webster faculty members will be held Friday, Oct. 12, at the Arcade.

Webster Film Series Presents French Film Festival with Cinema St. Louis

The 10th Annual Robert Classic French Film Festival — co-presented by Cinema St. Louis and the Webster University Film Series — celebrates St. Louis’ Gallic heritage and France’s cinematic legacy. The featured films span the decades from the 1920s through the 1990s, offering a revealing overview of French cinema.

Join the screening of 'Deej' on Jan. 18

'Deej' Profiles Journey of Young Man with Autism through College

The Webster University Film Series, in coordination with MO-FEAT and Great Circles, is presenting a screening of DEEJ, a film about the journey of a non-speaking young man with autism through college. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to join us on Jan. 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the Winifred Moore Auditorium, Webster Hall. The film is preceded by a reception in Webster Hall at 6:30 p.m., where popcorn and sandwiches will be available. The star and co-producer, DJ (Deej) Savarese, will attend the reception, and be available after the screening for a Q & A session.
