Fiscal Year 2017-2018 Year End Financial Closing

The University’s fiscal year ends on May 31, 2018. In order to be compliant with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), Webster must include in its financial statements all expenses incurred during the year. Porras Appointed Interim Associate Dean of Walker School

The George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology has announced the appointment of David Porras as interim associate dean, effective June 1. Porras, associate professor of finance and asset pricing expert within the School, will serve as the chief assessment, accreditation and academic quality assurance officer for all Walker School academic programs.

Vienna Campus Event Leads to Bloomberg Internship in London

Student Jaime Consarnau has landed a 10-week internship in London with Bloomberg, a major global provider of 24-hour financial news and information, after participating in an event hosted by the Business and Management department at the Vienna campus.

Webster Geneva Launches Series on Future of Energy

Under the leadership of Rouben Indjikian, lecturer in commodities and trade finance, the Geneva campus has launched a series of conferences devoted to the future of energy. The first such event, “What Future for Petroleum?” attracted managers, traders, financiers, consultants and other private sector representatives.
