Webster University and WINS affiliate Kent State, are expanding their partnership with the addition of Kent State Florence, enabling study abroad in the Italian city and student and faculty exchange throughout the Webster network.

The National Science Foundation program provides undergrads enrolled in colleges and universities where there are limited research opportunities with an opportunity to gain hands-on research experience.

Psychology Student Selected for Competitive Undergrad Research Experience

Webster Psychology major Angela Engle has been selected as one of eight participants in the hands-on 2016 Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) at Western Kentucky University, a program funded by the National Science Foundation. She'll spend 10 weeks this summer exploring innovative approaches to studying non-suicidal self-injury and suicidal behaviors in adolescents. The REU site's emphasis on integrating modern technology into psychological research will help develop her research skills and future career opportunities, her professors say.

Pasquerella to Keynote Sixth Global Citizenship Program Collaboratory

Members of the Webster community are invited to attend the 6th Global Citizenship Program Collaboratory, May 17-18 on the home campus. This event is open to the entire University community. This year’s Global Citizenship Collaboratory will provide a space to share and examine emerging issues surrounding teaching and assessing evidence-based instructional approaches that foster deep learning. The featured speaker this year is Lynn Pasquerella, president of Mount Holyoke College since 2010 and newly appointed president of the Association of American Colleges and Universities.

Webster Vienna Model UN Delegation Returns from Singapore

Twelve Webster Vienna students went to Singapore for the Model United Nations Conference at Nanyang Technical University (NTUMUN). After international conference trips to France and New York and hosting a conference in Vienna last fall, this was their first to an Asian MUN Conference. The Model UN experience puts students in the shoes of diplomats, politicians, government officials or journalists to discuss current issues and offer new solutions to political, economical or social problems.

WebsterLEADS Team-Builds at Vienna Alum's Room Escape Venture

A group of Webster Vienna students in the WebsterLEADS leadership program spent an afternoon of team building and problem solving at Crime Runners, a "room escape experience" in Vienna co-founded by Webster alumnus Stefan Tauchhammer (MBA, 2009). Like other exercises in the program, the experience encouraged students to participate and then reflect upon teamwork and leadership under time constraints, and in unpredictable surroundings.

Vienna WebsterLEADS Retreat

November 30, 2015

Students in the leadership certificate program WebsterLEADS gathered in Hainburg for Webster Vienna's first-ever 24-hour mini-leadership retreat. Ten freshmen and four upperclassmen senior student leaders attended. Led by the senior leaders and Student Affairs staff, the group worked on team-building, goal-setting, reflection, team-work, and group communication.
