Sustainability to Collect Donations in Green Move Out Week

Did you know the Move Out process result in nearly 20,000 lbs. of trash going to the landfill each year? Moving out of dorms and apartments for the summer can be hectic, but the Webster University Sustainability Office is here to provide opportunities to green the process! In order to collect reusable items and unwanted electronics for recycling, blue rolling bins will be in the lobbies of East & West Hall, in the WVA Clubhouse and at the north entrance of Marletto’s for faculty and staff access from Monday, Dec. 17-Dec. 21.

Did you know Move Out results in nearly 20,000 pounds of trash going to the landfill each year? Moving out of dorms and apartments for the summer can be hectic, but Webster University Sustainability and Residential Life are here to provide opportunities to green the process! In order to collect reusable items and unwanted electronics for recycling, Goodwill donation boxes and blue electronic waste recycling bins will be available at 3 locations from Monday, May 7 to Friday, May 11.

Green Winter Clean Out and Donation Collection Dec. 18-22

As students wrap up their fall semesters, Webster University Sustainability will be posting blue rolling bins with signage in each of the dorms as well as the Marletto’s for students, faculty and staff to deposit gently used items and electronic waste. The bins will be available for item drop off Dec.18-22 in West Hall, East Hall and Maria Hall/Marletto’s.
