Light the Night Exceeded Last Year's Donation Total

Webster Wellness thanks 26 generous employees and students who donated last week to Light the Night to Cure Cancer, sponsored by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We exceeded last year’s total by raising $665 to contribute to this effort to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of local patients and their families.

Message on Title IX Enforcement and Sexual Misconduct

On Sept. 22, the U.S. Department of Education rescinded two directives on how to handle sexual violence and sexual misconduct that had been issued during the Obama administration. The federal government also issued new guidelines to be used while it develops new regulations to support Title IX. Webster University is committed to preventing sexual assault, harassment, discrimination and other forms of sexual misconduct. We want to assure our community that Webster's policy on Sexual Assault, Harassment and Other Sexual Misconduct will not be weakened by on-going reviews and reviews of this new guidance.

'Healthy Selfie': Wellness, Student Success Fair Sept. 13

All faculty, staff and students are invited to the combined Webster Wellness & Student Success Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in Grant Gym. This year's theme is "Healthy Selfie": Expand your horizons and create a circle of resources for your selfie. There will be drawings, demonstrations, and more than 50 exhibitors on wellness and student academic success.

Concentra will be the new preferred urgent care provider for St. Louis area Webster University employees

New Preferred Urgent Care Provider for Workplace Injuries/Illnesses

Effective Aug. 28, Concentra, a nationwide urgent care provider, will be the new preferred urgent care provider that St. Louis area Webster University employees and some extended campus employees can utilize for the treatment of non-critical work-related injuries/illnesses, unless the injuries/illnesses are critical and require immediate care at a hospital. In that case, go to the nearest hospital.

Annual Recognition Breakfast Highlights Service, Leadership

The annual post-commencement Faculty and Staff Recognition Breakfast held May 16 in Grant Gymnasium, was an opportunity for community members to pause after a busy commencement weekend and salute outstanding faculty and staff for the year’s accomplishments and for career service milestones. Ruben Molina, Randolph Air Force Base director, and Abby DePew, coordinator for Athletic Recruitment, Office of Admission, were announced as the 2017 Staff Members of the Year.
