Security, Management Students Engage Army Chaplain, FBI Profiler in Capital

Webster students in SECR 5090: Behavior Issues and MNGT 5950: The Woman Manager, gathered off campus to hear thoughts on professions from U.S. Army chaplain Eddie Kinley and FBI profiler Jo’El Myles. Students in Nate Wilson and Gybrilla Blakes' classes heard about the fundamental, human side of military families that often gets overlooked, as well as what it's like to work in a high-profile yet enigmatic position in security and management.

Students in Trish Gipson's HRMG 5000 class journeyed to the Nation Football League Players Association (NFLPA) in downtown Washington, D.C. Set up by one of Gipson’s family friends, the students enjoyed a roundtable discussion with the NFLPA’s executive director, senior director of player development and the original legal counsel for the NFLPA.

Webster Leaders Meet Legislators in D.C. on Military Education, Human Trafficking, Vienna

President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble, Provost Julian Schuster and associate vice president Carolyn Corley visited with congressional representatives and embassy officials in Washington, D.C. last week including Reps. Ann Wagner and Lacy Clay and Sens. Claire McCaskill and Roy Blunt. Topics included the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in St. Louis, efforts at stopping human trafficking and more. Sean Coleman also presented on military education with Blunt and his staff.
