Webster Teaching Festival 2019 Call for Proposals

The Teaching Festival Committee is now accepting proposals for presentations and posters for the 2019 Teaching Festival. The Teaching Festival will be held the week of Feb. 11, and proposals will be accepted until Jan. 9. All Webster instructors, part-time and full-time, are invited to participate.

Webster Reps Demo Online Learning as Neal Elected CCME President

Four Webster military and online education leaders represented Webster University at the 2018 Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) in San Diego, with Western regional director Janice Neal being elected president of the body. CCME facilitates military educators and civilian educators programs and services within the Department of Defense educational support network. Fort Bliss director Beth Vivaldi and Elizabeth Fiock of the Online Learning Center presented and demonstrated Webster's WebNet+ at the conference.

Did you know that WebNet+ credit hour production has more than tripled since its formalized beginning in Fall 2015? Did you know that WebNet+ has connected courses between Webster Groves, Leiden, and Geneva while also including a cohort of 19 online students for a fully immersive, 21st-century learning experience? Faculty and staff are invited to a workshop on March 7 to see what it’s like to teach a WebNet+ course.

Global Leadership Academy 2017 Concludes

The 2017 cohort of Global Leadership Academy has its final sessions together Friday, concluding an 10-month journey of leadership development and reflection and deeper understanding of the complexities of the Webster University network. Fellows visited Scott Air Force Base on Thursday for perspectives on military and online education, while Friday features a wrap-up session and group project presentations. Congratulations to the 2017 GLA fellows!

Cottam Named Dean, AVP of Military Campuses and Online Education

Provost Julian Schuster has announced that Michael Cottam, associate vice president and director of the Online Learning Center, has been named dean and associate vice president of Military Campuses and Online Education effective Sept. 1. In this role, Cottam will oversee military base locations in addition to the online operations.

Webster Adds 11 New Online Programs to Robust Catalog

May 22, 2017

Webster University’s nationally recognized online education program is expanding. The Online Learning Center has added five new master’s programs, two certificates and four bachelor’s programs to its extensive catalog of majors that can be earned completely online. Students at Webster now have an online selection of 20 certificate programs, 31 graduate degrees and four undergraduate degrees. The center also offers four undergraduate completion programs.
