Annual Research Across Disciplines (RAD) Conference Dec. 7

Webster’s annual student research conference, Research Across Disciplines (RAD), will take place Friday, Dec. 7. The 2018 RAD conference kicks off at 9:20 a.m., led by a session of Global Presentations delivered via WebEx by students from across Webster’s global network. A keynote address will be delivered at 11 a.m. in the Browning Hall Auditorium. Concurrent oral presentation and poster sessions will commence at 12:00pm. RAD is conveniently designed to end at 3 p.m., so you’ll no doubt have plenty of time to make it to the President and Provost’s Faculty and Staff Holiday Party!

The submission period is now open for Webster’s Fall 2017 Research Across Disciplines (RAD) conference, to be held Friday, Dec. 15 in Browning Hall and the East Academic Building on the Webster Groves main campus, with opportunities for extended campus and online students to participate remotely. Submissions are being accepted now through Nov. 3.

Athens Students Present on Arts and Learning at RAD Conference

The twice-per-year Research Across Disciplines (RAD) conference in St. Louis has grown over the past two years, expanding to provide students from any campus or online across the global network the opportunity to participate via pre-recorded presentations or live video conference presentations. This past weekend’s conference was no different, including presentations by Athens students Sally Talal and Maria Stoli.

Attend Research Across Disciplines May 5-6

Webster’s bi-annual student research conference, Research Across Disciplines (RAD), will take place Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, in the East Academic Building on the Webster Groves main campus. Over the course of the two days, 72 undergraduate and graduate students from across Webster’s global network, representing 16 academic departments, will present their projects via oral talks, posters, and creative displays.

Research Across Disciplines: Call for Submissions, deadline extended to April 3

Submissions are being accepted until the extended deadline of April 3 for Webster's Research Across Disciplines (RAD) conference, held May 5-6 in the East Academic Building. Students are encouraged to submit their work for the RAD conference and gain valuable experience as an emerging contributor to their field. Original work from students in all fields, throughout Webster's global network, and from other St. Louis regional institutions can be submitted.

4th RAD Highlights Collaborative Research across Webster Network

Webster’s fourth Research Across Disciplines Conference drew 64 undergraduate and graduate student research participants from across Webster and local universities, including Webster students presenting via videoconference from Geneva, Vienna, Zurich and online learning modules. The conference buttresses on-going efforts to afford students access to the high-impact educational practice of collaborative research.

First Year Inquiry Showcase at Research Across Disciplines

As part of the upcoming Research Across Disciplines conference Dec. 9-10, all are invited to visit First Year Inquiry Showcase, which will display the results of inquiry projects conducted by students enrolled in First Year Seminars during the Fall 2016 semester. The showcase will feature posters, films and artifacts that reflect the research conducted by First Year Students.
