Webster Named Rolla Business of the Month

The Rolla (Missouri) Area Chamber of Commerce recently honored Webster University Rolla as their May Business of the Month. This award is presented to "a Chamber member business or organization that excels in the area of community involvement, economic growth, customer services and/or professional relationships." The Chamber also produced a video with director Greg Edwards describing academic opportunities at Webster for Rolla area residents.

Edwards Named Director of Webster University's Rolla Metropolitan Campus

Greg Edwards was recently announced as the new director of Webster University’s Rolla Metropolitan Campus. Edwards holds a Doctor of Education with an emphasis in Higher Education Administration from Lindenwood University. Before joining Webster, he was employed as a communication instructor and president of State Technical College of Missouri’s Faculty Senate. He has also previously worked as a local newspaper managing editor and as a legislative intern for the Speaker Pro Tem of the Missouri House of Representatives, among other positions.

Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) has announced the Webster Staff Alliance Scholarship Award Recipients for 2018. The award is designed to bring domestic extended site staff members to the home campus in Webster Groves, to participate in either the Embracing Diversity and Inclusion: Elevating the Conversation (Feb. 28-March 1) or WSA Professional Development Day (March 14). Be sure to say hello if you see them around the halls at main campus.

Making a Difference: Rolla marks Counseling faculty 20-year anniversaries

The Rolla campus recently celebrated two adjunct faculty members who marked 20 years teaching in the Counseling program at Webster University. "I treasure the interactions with students," said David Duncan. "Working with Webster is one of the greatest experiences of my life," said Ben Shriver, a 2010 Staff Member of the Year. Both have long histories working in mental health services in the area, experiences they bring to the classroom.
