Student Award Nominations Open through March 26

Student Leadership Award nominations are currently being accepted through March 26. Please take a moment to nominate a deserving student or student organization for recognition of their accomplishments during the 2017-2018 academic year. Click through for more information on the awards, nomination criteria and nomination forms. All nominees and nominators will be invited to attend the 25th Annual Student Leadership Awards dinner on Friday, April 27.

Submit Parent Emergency Fund Nominations by Feb. 23

The Parent Emergency Fund gives financial assistance to qualified students enrolled at Webster when the parents are unable to provide. This need could arise from the death or severe illness of a parent, a guardian’s job loss, or other grave circumstance. Webster University donors who contribute to this fund make it possible to award a Parent Grant that helps bear the cost for families in need. Recommendations for students to receive the grant are due by Feb. 23.

Student Life Hall of Fame to Induct Five New Members

Daniel (Dee) Goines ’08, Lauren (Meyer) Hoggatt ’10 and ’12, Mario Santander ’09 and ’11, Mathias Jackson ’06 and ’07, and Tyler Holman ’12 have been selected as the newest members of the Webster University Student Life Hall of Fame. They will be inducted at a ceremony during Homecoming Weekend, on Friday, Sept. 15.

Behavioral Intervention Team Resources

If anyone at Webster University becomes aware of a student exhibiting troubling behavior, they should immediately inform the Behavioral Intervention Team, which coordinates Webster University's resources to address the needs of students who are experiencing significant behavioral disturbances in order to recommend collaborative and purposeful interventions aimed at helping students achieve success and to maintain a healthy and safe environment on campus.

Submit Parent Emergency Fund Nominations by Feb. 24

The Webster University Parent Council started the Parent Emergency Fund in 2016 and are looking for nominations for the grant to be given out in March 2017. This fund offers financial assistance to qualified students who lose their bread-winning parent due to death, severe illness, loss of job or circumstances of a similar gravity, while enrolled at the University. If you know of a student in need, submit nominations by Feb. 24.

Global Student Life Colleagues Gather for Connections, Best Practices

Webster University student life coordinators from the Geneva, Vienna, Leiden, Thailand, and Ghana campuses met at the Webster Groves campus Nov. 14-18 as part of efforts to improve and synchronize the global student-centered experience called for in Webster's strategic plan. Their visit was timed to coincide with a national association of student life administrators conference held in St. Louis.

After a year of successful fundraising efforts by the Student Government Association, and through the generosity of 75 donors who gave $13,546.12, the Gorlok statue is a reality! Join us on Monday, Aug. 1, at 4 p.m. for the unveiling celebration. The statue will be placed in the plaza between the Emerson Library and Sverdrup Complex.
