The Summer 2019 Early Term Progress Survey launches Friday, June 14, and is open for 10 days, closing Monday, June 24, at 11 p.m. This survey is distributed to all Summer U.S. on-ground and online courses. Faculty members are expected to complete their survey(s) during the 10-day window – even if they have no feedback to submit – because students are responding to the flags and kudos raised.

Student Success Portal Training and Resources Available

Student Success Portal, powered by Starfish, training is available by request at any time. Additionally, as scheduled training dates are determined, details will be posted in Training on the Student Success Portal website and announced via Webster Today. Many video tutorials and resources are also available in the For Students, For Faculty, and For Advisors & Staff areas of the Student Success Portal website. Overview flyers are also accessible in the For Students and For Faculty tabs. And, the FAQs section of the website contains valuable information.

Fall Grades Due Dec. 31, Guidance on Incomplete Grades

Fall 2 is coming to an end and grades will be due soon. Inaccurately using Incomplete grades or leaving In Progress grades posted can harm a student’s academic progress, course sequencing, financial aid, persistence, and graduation. Do not submit an Incomplete as a student’s grade or leave a student’s grade as In Progress if the student has not attended class for several weeks and/or is missing most of the required work. All graduate and undergraduate Fall 2, 2018, course grades are due by Monday, Dec. 31.

This survey will be distributed to all Fall 2, U.S. on-ground and online courses and will be available for faculty to complete during a 10-day window that will close on Monday, Nov. 19. Progress Surveys make reporting the academic progress of students easy and efficient by allowing faculty members to raise early alerts (Flags) for items and to provide positive feedback (Kudos) to students.

Due to recent access issues to the Student Success Portal, powered by Starfish, the Early Term Progress Survey – Fall and Fall 1, 2018, which was set to expire at 11 p.m. CST on Monday, Sept. 17, has been extended to 11 p.m. CST on Friday, Sept. 21.

The Inventory, available beginning Friday, July 6, is a new feature available to faculty and staff users in the Student Success Portal, powered by Starfish. The Inventory is a listing of student success interventions, including at other Starfish partner institutions, that can be explored to provide additional support to students. Faculty and staff users can search the Inventory and share relevant information on services, programs and support with students.
