The Fall 2019 Midterm Progress Survey launches Friday, Oct. 18, and is open for 10 days, closing Monday, Oct. 28, at 11 p.m. CST. This survey will be distributed to all Fall semester-long, graduate and undergraduate, U.S. domestic courses, on-ground and online. Faculty members are expected to complete their survey(s) during the 10-day window.

Starfish Training Opportunities, Fall 2019

Student Success Portal Updates and Reminders for Fall 2019

Hands-on Faculty Training for Teaching and Learning Technology

All part-time and full-time new and returning faculty are invited to three hands-on sessions on Tuesday, Aug. 20, about using technology to support and engage students. Come learn how the Student Success Portal, Microsoft Office 365, and WorldClassRoom (Canvas) can help you support student success, engage your students in and out of the classroom, and collaborate and communicate with colleagues and students. All sessions will be held on Aug. 20 in the Library eClassroom (Emerson Library 110).

Fall Grades Due Dec. 31, Guidance on Incomplete Grades

Fall 2 is coming to an end and grades will be due soon. Inaccurately using Incomplete grades or leaving In Progress grades posted can harm a student’s academic progress, course sequencing, financial aid, persistence, and graduation. Do not submit an Incomplete as a student’s grade or leave a student’s grade as In Progress if the student has not attended class for several weeks and/or is missing most of the required work. All graduate and undergraduate Fall 2, 2018, course grades are due by Monday, Dec. 31.

Fall 2 Early Term Progress Survey Launches Nov. 9

The Fall 2 Early Term Progress Survey will launch via the Student Success Portal on Friday, Nov. 9. This survey will be distributed to all Fall 2, U.S. on-ground and online courses and will be available for faculty to complete during a 10-day window that will close on Monday, Nov. 19. Progress Surveys make reporting the academic progress of students easy and efficient by allowing faculty members to raise early alerts (Flags) for items and to provide positive feedback (Kudos) to students.
