Snapshots: Orientation in Geneva Heads to the Mountains

Webster Geneva's Spring New Student Orientation welcomed 77 new students from all over the world to the campus in Bellevue, Switzerland, including 50 through the Webster International Network Schools program. The students were thrilled to be "exposed to so many different cultures and languages" among their classmates, and enjoyed an orientation trip to Chamonix in the French Alps.

Faculty-Led Study Abroad Proposal Deadline for Spring, Summer 2018

Members of the Webster faculty, adjuncts included, are invited to plan and propose short-term study abroad courses, which are often a necessary alternative for students who cannot accommodate international year-long or semester programs. The deadline for submitting faculty-led courses (hybrid or otherwise) to the Office of Study Abroad with travel during Spring Break 2018 and Summer 2018 is Feb. 15, 2017.

Webster Ghana Welcomes New Students from Across West Africa, Beyond

Webster's campus in Accra, Ghana, welcomed new students from across the West African sub-region to add to its diverse student base for Spring 2017. New students were drawn from Ghana, Togo, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire, Congo-Brazzaville, DRC, and Mali, with students from English-speaking countries in West Africa learning from their French-speaking counterparts and vice versa.

Webster Athens Students Host 2nd Annual Holiday Celebration for Refugee Children

On Dec. 14, Webster and Odyssey in Athens study abroad students once again transformed the Caritas Refugee Center into a festive wonderland for over 100 children who have left their countries due to war and are living in substandard conditions in refugee camps in Greece. Under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs, this was the second year Webster Athens students planned and organized this party.

Webster Welcomes Lake Forest to WINS Partner Network

Webster University welcomes its newest Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) member, Lake Forest College, a private liberal arts college along Chicago’s North shore. Founded in 1857, Lake Forest recently expanded its study abroad offerings to include nearly 200 off-campus study programs in more 70 countries. Webster’s international campuses are now a part of that expanded range of programs.

New Ghana Campus Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Community members at Webster Ghana held a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony for their new location in Accra, with Peter Maher, associate vice president of international campuses and initiatives, performing the honors. The new location is in a community with other universities in the area and has several features designed to enhance student experience, plus housing options for residential students and visiting faculty.

Webster Ghana Campus Relocates within Accra

Webster University's campus location in Accra, Ghana, has completed its move to the business and residential neighborhood of East Legon in the Greater Accra region. Situated in the very heart of East Legon, the beautiful three-story structure is a blend of traditional design and modern technology, with modernized classrooms and housing for residential students and visiting faculty.
