Hart Mentors Singers in Opera Theatre Program

Martha J. Hart, director of Vocal Studies in the Webster University Department of Music, has completed another year of teaching for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis’ Spring Training program. The two-week program provides high school students with an introduction to the on-stage and backstage world of opera production. Each week culminates in a solo performance and a group scene following time spent in voice lessons, music rehearsal, staging, makeup and movement sessions, plus master classes.

Vocal Performance Student Featured on HEC-TV

Webster University freshman vocal performance major Olivia Bosaw is featured on HEC-TV, a local leading producer of education and arts television programming. The video tells the story of how Bosaw's talents were cultivated at an early age, showing her evolution through performance clips from her primary school - high school, local theater starring roles, Artists For a Cause duet with Terry Barber at the Sheldon, Webster University’s Opera Scenes and her moving Puccini aria solo, “O Mio Babbino Caro” accompanied by Donna Vince.
