Staff: Submit Nominations for 2018-19 Open WSA Board Positions

Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) is requesting nominations for full-time staff at the Webster Groves, Missouri, location for 2018-19 open board positions. WSA will be holding elections for Associate Chair, Compensation Chair, and Associate Special Events Chair. Time commitments include two meetings per month (one with the WSA Board, and one with University leadership) and special events as needed.

WSA Awards 7 Extended Campus Travel Scholarships

Webster Staff Alliance (WSA) has announced the Webster Staff Alliance Scholarship Award Recipients for 2018. The award is designed to bring domestic extended site staff members to the home campus in Webster Groves, to participate in either the Embracing Diversity and Inclusion: Elevating the Conversation (Feb. 28-March 1) or WSA Professional Development Day (March 14). Be sure to say hello if you see them around the halls at main campus.

Nominations for Spring 2018 are being accepted through March 1.

The Webster Staff Alliance annual Professional Development Day shared a variety of helpful information for attendees in person at the home campus and those from other campuses who viewed via Webex. Hsin-hsin Huang from the Department of Professional Counseling delivered an insightful keynote, while other sessions ranged from leadership, to career building, to stress management. Select sessions are available via recording, and WSA seeks your input via survey, whether or not you attended.

Gorlok Greats: New Staff Recognition Program

Webster Staff Alliance announces a new employee recognition program. The Gorlok Greats Award will recognize staff members whose achievements, whether an individual act or sustained effort of exemplary service, relate to Webster University strategies and support the University’s values and mission. Nominations will open twice a year, with up to six awardees per nomination term.
