An exterior rendering of the Interdisciplinary Science Building

This is a regular update of the construction work for the Interdisciplinary Science Building and the Parking Garage expansion on the home campus of Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri:

  • The fencing that will surround the area of the parking garage extension is nearly completed. That area is on the south side of Garden Avenue, east of the current garage and west of the railroad tracks.
  • Work crews are currently performing exploratory drilling in Parking Lot O to get better measurements of the soil/clay quality.
  • Demolition of Parking Lot O and the former Nerinx Parking Lot (located next to Lot O) could begin next week.
  • The skeleton of the new parking garage extension could start going up in October and will be finished in February, 2017. After that, work crews will install lights, plumbing and other fixtures.
  • The preliminary opening of the garage could happen in May, 2017, adding 562 more parking spaces to Webster University’s home campus.
