Construction Update May 23 2016
A rendering of the Interdisciplinary Science Building

This is a regular update of the construction work for the Interdisciplinary Science Building and the Parking Garage expansion on the home campus of Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri:

  • Paric will start installing the new storm sewer tie-in for the ISB which will occur in the drive lane at the east side of the EAB.  This work will start today (Monday, May 23) and should be completed on Friday, May 27th.  During this work, the north entry/exit of the EAB will only be accessible during emergencies in order to prevent pedestrian traffic in the work area.  All deliveries to the EAB will have to be via the east entry to the EAB because the loading room entry doors (from the exterior) will be obstructed.
  • Site Clearing, mass excavation, and installation of the earth retention system continues this week and is anticipated to last through June 10.
  • Drilled Piers are scheduled to start on May 23, 2016 through July 11, 2016. This will cause an elevated amount of noise.
  • Construction of the Tower Crane’s Foundation is scheduled to start on May 30, 2016 through June 10, 2016.
  • As a reminder, one of two construction cameras has been installed on the site of the new Interdisciplinary Science Building and is now streaming images online. The camera’s feed can be viewed at https://www.truelook.com/tl/app/?u=pw1463145640. Besides allowing the community to see construction in real time, the cameras also will be used to increase security on the site.
