A rendering of the interior of Browning Hall

This is a regular update of the construction work for Browning Hall, Interdisciplinary Science Building on the home campus of Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri:

Weather permitting, an emergency generator will be hoisted into place on the east side of Browning Hall, Interdisciplinary Science Building on Friday, June 16. The work is expected to start at 7 a.m. and last most of the day. A large crane and a tractor trailer will be parked on the roadway between the East Academic Building (EAB) and Nerinx Hall to complete the work.

In a related matter, the sidewalk that runs along the north side of the west wing of the EAB has been temporarily closed, to allow crews time to replace parts of the sidewalk that were cracked. The sidewalk is expected to reopen by the end of the week.

In other actions at Browning Hall:

  • The lab casework is being installed and is nearly completed. Work is expected to be finished in the next two weeks.
  • The last of the interior doors are being installed. That work is expected to be completed this week.
  • Crews are working on the north, east and west –side sidewalks. Work on the walks should be completed by the end of the month.
  • The boilers are expected to be fired up for the first time by the end of next week. The gas meter was set this week.
