Construction Update May 18 2017
A rendering of the exterior of Browning Hall. Construction on the building tentatively is expected to end this summer.

This is a regular update of the construction work for Browning Hall, Interdisciplinary Science Building on the home campus of Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri:

Work crews at Browning Hall, Interdisciplinary Science Building continue to make significant progress toward completion. The University is currently planning on moving equipment into the building in mid to late July. Watch this space in the near future for a more detailed moving plan.

Currently at Browning Hall:

  • The lab casework will arrive and be installed by the end of this month.
  • The interior of the building is being conditioned. This means that Browning Hall and the East Academic Building’s environmental controls have been connected and the humidity levels and temperatures in the interior of Browning Hall are being normalized to accommodate the interior architecture, casework, furnishings, fixtures and equipment.
  • Interior doors are being installed on all levels in the next two weeks.
  • Work on the main staircase has begun with the fabrication of treads and railings and the installation of paneling happening in the next two weeks. Stair railings will be installed in early June.
  • Exterior sidewalks and pavement will be installed during the next three weeks.
