Adjunct Faculty Development Fund Submission Period Now Open

The application period for Adjunct Faculty Development Fund requests opens today, Aug. 15, and runs through Thursday, Sept. 15. The fund, which was established last year by the Office of the Provost, is designed to support eligible adjunct faculty for professional development, professional travel, and research activities. The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis.

Faculty Member's 'Pianos for People' an Arts Innovator of the Year

Patricia Eastman, adjunct professor of piano, presented about Pianos for People at the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy. Eastman is co-founder of Pianos for People, which received the 2017 Regional Arts Commission “Arts Innovator of the Year” award. The unique nonprofit is quickly gaining national attention for addressing the diminishing presence of pianos in households, and the increasing number of pianos that are abandoned or destroyed.
