Erica Ellard Named Director of Academic Resources Center

Vice Provost Nancy Hellerud and the Office of Academic Affairs announce Erica Ellard as the new director of the Academic Resource Center (ARC). 

In this role, Ellard will work with ARC staff to provide academic counseling, peer tutoring, writing coaching, and disability accommodations for students as well as advice and support to the extended campuses in these areas. 

Ellard previously served as director of the student achievement center and then director of student success at Ranken Technical College. In her eight years in the director roles, she developed and grew academic support services for students, engaged faculty in student success initiatives, and increased the visibility and use of the Student Achievement Center. 

Ellard earned her BA in Journalism with a minor in Sociology, and a MA in Teaching with an emphasis in communications, both from Webster University.

Ellard will join Webster on Nov. 2.
