IRB Submission Deadlines for Research Involving Human Subjects

Does your research involve human subjects? Applications for human research are reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) on a first-come, first-served basis during each school term. To make the process more efficient and provide timely feedback for faculty, students and staff, the following deadlines have been set for the Fall 2015.

  • Fall 1 Deadline: Sept. 25, 2015
  • Fall Semester and Fall 2 Deadline: Nov. 13, 2015

Applications that do not meet the deadline may not be reviewed until the next term.

Please note that submitted proposals may require modifications prior to approval, which can lengthen the review process.

New research submissions that require the full board review (due to vulnerable subjects or medical procedures) must submit a completed proposal at least 4 weeks before the next meeting date in order to be included on the agenda.

The Fall 2015 meeting dates for the full board review are:

  • Oct. 16
  • Oct. 30
  • Nov. 6
  • Nov. 20

Refer to the IRB website at for additional information about completing the application. Applications are to be submitted to IRB Expeditor at
