Advancement Restructuring of Alumni, Parent and Student Programs

The Office of Advancement has announced a staff restructuring after the recent departure of Jennifer Jezek-Taussig, former associate vice president for Alumni and Parent Programs.

Lara Turek, development officer, Prospect Research and Analysis, has been named director of Alumni Programs, while Billy Ratz, development officer for Alumni Programs, will serve as the new director of Parent and Student Programs.

“As a two-time Webster graduate, Lara’s passion and vision for further integrating alumni into all aspects of Webster University are remarkable,” said Charles Hahn, vice president for Advancement.

“Given her breadth of experiences as development officer in Prospect Research and Analysis at Webster, as well as at other nonprofits, Lara possesses the creativity that will be critical to our moving forward in the very fluid times.”

Ratz also is a “double” Webster alumnus, as well as the creator of Webster’s Student Ambassador Program, Student-Alumni Mentoring Program and the Parents Council.

“Billy already has shown his devotion for engaging these critical audiences as full partners in Webster’s second century,” Hahn said. “By carving out this new role, we hope that he will continue to grow these now-vital programs, and build even more that will continue to involve others in our future growth and success.”
