Student Affairs Joins Enrollment Management to Become EMSA

The Office of the Provost announced the consolidation of the administrative units Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, effective immediately. Now known as EMSA, the realignment will better link enrollment plans with academic and financial plans, and strengthen the student experience from recruitment to graduation.

Robert Parrent, vice president for Enrollment Management, will head EMSA. "We are looking forward to working together in ways that we haven't before," said Parrent. "Now is the time to re-energize and take calculated risks—students need us to do this. By integrating our efforts to create synergy and efficiencies, the realignment realizes our full potential."

Additional anticipated outcomes of the unification include achieving optimum recruitment, retention and graduation rates through increased partnership and collaboration with all institutional constituents; developing new solutions through collective skills, knowledge and expertise; and better service to students.

The new EMSA division will encompass Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and the Registrar’s Office.
