Remembering Chorsie Martin '16 Martin

Webster University was saddened to learn Thursday of the death of Chorsie Martin '16, an alumnus, current graduate student and staff member in Information Technology.

Martin was a beloved classmate and colleague on the Webster Groves campus. He graduated with his undergraduate degree in the School of Communications in May and began graduate studies this summer. Pending details of services will be shared according to family wishes (see updates below).

He was found deceased in his apartment in the Glen Park Apartments in Webster Groves, which are leased by the University. Residential Life initiated a well-being check after coworkers became concerned when he had not reported to work for several days. The Webster Grove Police Department was notified, is conducting an investigation and awaiting autopsy and toxicology reports. According to police, there were no signs of any danger to the community.

As a reminder for those in our community dealing with this sad news, Webster University counseling staff and services are available to all students, faculty and staff at (314) 968-7030.
