At Duet Gallery, Sept. 29-Nov. 14

Tom Lang has partnered with Kevin Kao for an exhibition at Duet Gallery, which will run Sept. 29 - Nov. 14, 2017.

Over a series of works, Lang examines the relationship between art and imitation, of concept and depiction, picture and image.

Kao's work hints at the Rococo, the 17th Century French style of curly cues and the bizarre exaggeration topped with sweet charm.

Lang is professor and chair of the Department of Art, Design and Art History in Webster University's Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts.

Duet is located at 3526 Washington Avenue Suite 300, St Louis, Missouri, 63103.
