Library Announces 2018 Book Club Selections Announced

Announcing the 2018 Webster University Book Club selections:

  • Cheating Lessons: Learning from Academic Dishonesty by James M. Lang (Monday, Jan. 22)
  • The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson (Monday, March 5)
  • The Economic Singularity: Artificial Intelligence and the Death of Capitalism by Calum Chace (Monday, May 21)
  • As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner (Monday, July 16)
  • Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson Monday, Sept. 24)
  • The Signature of All Things: A Novel  by Elizabeth Gilbert (Tuesday, Nov. 13)

All meetings are at noon in the Library Conference Room on Monday, except in November, which is a Tuesday.

Woodrow Wilson Fellow Robert Musil Lecture April 23

The Book Club has added a special session April 23. Robert Musil will be on campus that week as a Woodrow Wilson Fellow. Book Club will read his new book, Rachel Carson and her Sisters: Extraordinary Women Who Have Shaped America's Environment. Musil will give several open lectures that week so you will have opportunities to hear him speak.
