Nicole Roach Received Monsanto Family YMCA's MLK Human Dignity Award
Roach is Webster's associate vice president for Diversity and Inclusion and senior director for Community Engagement.

Nicole Roach, associate vice president for Diversity and Inclusion and senior director for Community Engagement, received the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Dignity Award from the Monsanto Family YMCA in St. Louis.

The award is given each year to a person who most exemplifies the work and character of its namesake. Roach received the award at the 32nd annual Martin Luther King Day breakfast in January.

The event is a flagship program for the Monsanto Family YMCA and hosts all the YMCA's in the St Louis region, as well as community leaders, government officials and citizens.

 The Martin Luther King, Jr. Human Dignity Award recognizes: 

  • Contributions that reflect the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in the most critical communities of the St. Louis region;
  • The reduction of prejudice and the promotion of integrity through the YMCA core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility;
  • The creation of inclusive opportunities for advancing youth from underserved communities toward levels of continuing or higher education achieved by Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
