Spring 2016 Faculty Review Notices

Unless otherwise noted, for each review Webster University faculty, staff and students are invited to submit written and signed testimony relevant to the following criteria:

  • Classroom teaching
  • University contributions
  • Professional activities/contributions
  • Student advising
  • Department contributions/service

The departments for the following faculty members have posted notice of faculty reviews during Spring 2018. Please see the text after each faculty member name for instructions and deadlines for submitting testimony. 

Note: This post is updated with new names throughout the term as notice of new reviews are received. You can find a department or faculty member’s name quickly by doing a CTRL-F search for their name.

Department of Music

  • David Werfelmann: The Department of Music is soliciting written testimony regarding assistant professor of Music Theory and Composition David Werfelmann's third-year review. Testimony is requested in the areas of teaching, service, and professional development. Please send signed, written testimony to Jeffrey Carter, Chair, Department of Music, MU206, no later than Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.  Respondents may also send a PDF of a signed letter on letterhead to jeffreycarter67@webster.edu.

Department of Professional Counseling

The department is soliciting testimony for full time faculty at extended campus locations, including:

  • Morgan Grotewiel: The Department of Psychology is soliciting written testimony for Morgan Grotewiel’s first-year review. Please submit written, signed comments regarding: classroom instruction, professional activities, advising, and/or contributions to the University and professional communities. Department of Audio Aesthetics and Technology

Casey Hunter: The Department of Audio Aesthetics and Technology is conducting a first year review for Casey Hunter, visiting assistant professor. Faculty, staff and students are invited to submit written, signed comments to Tim Ryan, department chair, SV-248, by March 2. Department of Communications and Journalism

  • Celine Hong: The Department of Communications and Journalism is conducting a fourth year review for Celine Hong, assistant professor.   • Terry Sullivan: The Department of Communications and Journalism is conducting a third year review for Terry Sullivan, assistant professor. Department of Management

Dustin Smith: the Department of Management is conducting a fifth year review on Dustin Smith, assistant professor of Management. All members of the University community are invited to submit written comments regarding contributions and performance. The criteria for evaluation are: teaching and student advising; professional development appropriate to the individual's discipline; service to the University, academic and professional communities; contributions to the Department of Management. Of these the most heavily weighted is teaching. Letters should be addressed to: Barrett Baebler, Associate Professor, Department of Management, East Academic Building room 389, 470 E. Lockwood Ave., St. Louis, MO 63119-3194. To be considered by the review committee, comments must be written and signed. Comments may be submitted by email to baeblerb@webster.edu with a hard copy submission mailed. The deadline for submission is Monday, April 23, 2018.
