President Stroble Elected to CIC Board
Stroble

Webster University President Elizabeth (Beth) J. Stroble has been elected to the board of the Council of Independent Colleges (CIC).

The CIC is an association of nonprofit independent colleges and universities that has worked since 1956 to support college and university leadership; advance institutional excellence; and enhance public understanding of private higher education’s contributions to society.

Stroble recently returned from annual CIC Presidents Institute Jan. 4-7, where she attended her first CIC Board of Directors meeting. The Board of Directors includes college presidents from CIC institutions and other leaders in higher education.

“We are in significant times for higher education, and the CIC is doing important work for small and mid-size private liberal arts colleges and universities,” Stroble said. “I am honored to serve the CIC in this capacity as it continues to improve the quality of education, administrative and financial performance, and visibility of these institutions.”
